The Decentralized Future of ThePiece

Of course, the decentralization of a project or even the entire crypto space is a big topic in today’s world and the industry we work in.
Therefore, in this short article, we want to show how we manage/plan to make our project work in a completely decentralized way.

The first step towards decentralization:
Shortly after the launch of our marketplace, we publish a voting feature.
With this function, it will be possible for the stakers to vote on which NFT-projects can be fragmented and traded on thepiecenft.com marketplace in the future.
This feature is not only great for getting the community involved in the project, but also for adding the collections to the marketplace, that are currently in trend.

Of course, we still need to make sure that no one can vote for fake collections to scam potential users of the marketplace.
Therefore, we will for the time being propose a list of collections that can be voted for. The collections with the most votes will then be included.

The final goal of decentralization:
The Piece will be the first fully decentralized marketplace and fragmentation protocol on the entire blockchain.
However, we cannot yet provide an exact date or approximate timeframe for this.
Our goal is to work on this when we have implemented cross-chain for all fragments and the marketplace.

An example to master the goal of decentralization is that “ThePieceNFT” will not receive percentages of each transaction.
To support development, this is unfortunately unavoidable for now, but we are working hard to keep these fees low and prefer to support the users of the marketplace with these fees.

We know that there is still a long way to go before our project is fully decentralized, but we are happy to go on this journey.
Like all of us, the team at ThePiece wants to move Web3 forward and make it a better place for all of us through the community.
